Josh Turner Biography

A native of Hannah, SC, deep-voiced Josh Turner burst on the country scene in 2003 with the powerful Long Black Train, a song Turner had written after listening to a Hank Williams Sr. box set. Sounding like a gospel-blues out of the 1940s, Long Black Train wrestles with the grand themes of temptation, salvation, death, and redemption, and the song quickly brought Turner national media attention. His first album, Long Black Train, produced by Frank Rogers, was released by MCA in 2003. Prior to the album release, Turner had issued two 7 vinyl singles, She'll Go on You and Long Black Train, both backed with the same B-side, Backwoods Boy. Upon receipt of the information included in the Consultation & Artist Info Package, Buyer agrees that ERG has fulfilled its obligations under this agreement and releases ERG from any and all liability to the maximum extent allowed by law, and will indemnify and hold harmless ERG, its directors, officers, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims arising from this agreement and subsequent event including but not limited to all third party claims, losses, damages, suits, fees, judgments, costs and expenses (collectively referred to as 'Claims'), including attorneys' fees incurred in responding to such Claims, that the parties may suffer or incur arising out of or in connection with (a) a party’s negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of any representation, warranty, or other obligation under this Agreement, or (b) any personal injury (including death) or damage to property resulting from a party or its agents' acts or omissions and standard force majeure. The parties will give prompt notice of any Claim to the other party, and the parties will defend the opposing party at their request. This Agreement will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of NEVADA.
